If you’re having a hard time deciding on a Christmas gift for a friend or family member, you should think about staying with us and giving them a ski or snowboard lesson!
Instead of giving a present that’s in a box, think outside the box, and give them something they can do outside! Learning to ski or snowboard from one of the experienced instructors gives you the opportunity to learn the fundamental movements in a safe and fun environment. All of the instructors at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Resorts are committed to teaching people how to enjoy their huge playground safely. The teaching philosophy is based on three things: safety, fun and learning!
When you give someone the gift of a ski or snowboard lesson from one of the trained professionals you can be sure they will take those skills with them for the rest of their lives. Single day lift tickets and season passes also make great Christmas gifts!
Meet Trisha, Bill and Debbie, Debbie is their supervisor for the Snow Summit Adult Snowboard staff, and she wants to invite you to come up and take a lesson with them and why not gift a friend or family member so you have a shared memory that will last a lifetime! Taking a beginner class lets you learn with others in a place set aside for those that are new to the sport. The beginner area has a very mellow slope allowing you to improve your abilities with less of a fear factor! Private lessons are also available if you prefer having a one on one. During the holidays and peak weekends it’s great to hire a private instructor because private lessons go to the front of the line. Less waiting means you’re able to get more practice runs in and more runs allows you to enjoy a better experience!
They have some super fun people on staff this season and no matter what you want to do they have someone to help you achieve your goals. If you’re a beginner, they will try to help you get up and get started safely. If you’re an intermediate or advanced skier or snowboarder that wants to get some mad park skills or get your freestyle on, they have got an instructor that will teach you the right way to do it!
One of the great things about skiing and snowboarding is it’s an activity that the whole family can enjoy together, no stadiums no courts no score! Just playing on the snow, everyone wins! Learning to ski or snowboard for Christmas will certainly make the holiday a happy one!
Big Bear’s cold weather was a little late this season but they have plenty of snow now and both resorts are open and ready for the holidays. Peace on Earth and good snow towards men! For ski resort info call (909) 866-5766 or log on to www.bigbearmountainresorts.com.
